Treating Dark Spots

Those of you that know me think I'm a little crazy when it comes to Skincare. I wear a hat 24/7 + sunscreen + tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. I protect my skin constantly! Then something crazy happened when I was pregnant! I got the pregnancy mask called melasma. This is when your hormones create an overproduction of melanin which turns some areas of your face darker or blothy.

This is very hard to treat! Most doctors prescribe Hydroquinone, Retina, Laser treatments, etc. There is a downfall to these products and treatments. They make your skin more sensitive to the sun so the problem can become worse. Also, some people have reactions to these products and the melasma will intensify! Be very careful when treating this problem.

Well...trust me! I have tried everything under the sun and I think I found a winner! It is called Meladerm. I have used it for 2 weeks and I'm already seeing a difference. My baby is 1 yr. now so my Melasma has faded but I had a few areas that I wanted to lighten up. It works and so does the price. Check it out!

jenna, does that work for overall tone? or specifically melasma?

Julia, it works on any type of pigment. I think it would be great for overall tone.

BTW, love the chocolate yogurt. My new fav!

As you know, I've had melasma for years (birth control has the same effect on some people). I will put this on my list of things I need to buy. :) Unfortunately, running shoes is the first thing on my list--you know, so I can spend more time in the sun getting more spots.
